I couldn't find a thread for this. My apologies if I just overlooked it.
Would it be at all possible to get a Bankai ability that increases the Shinigami's size? I have this crazy idea of my viking shinigami's bankai turning him into a frost giant.

these are all public just use this one (also, moved your post ) hmmm, generic, size increase. maybe see a reason for a size increase of one step in shikai. thinking of that since you mentioned it. afterall, there are giant shinigami around (who ichigo and the gang managed to miss because all of them forgot to invest in spot... ) anywho Form of the TitanPrerequisites: 4 generic abilities Activation cost: varies. Their might overflowing, the shinigami is capable of shifting their body to the size of the legendary gate guardians, becoming a titan towering over the battlefield. When Bankai is activated, the shinigami can grow a number of size catagories, up to collosal. for each catagory they grow, their strengh increases by 6, and their dexterity is reduced by 2. one size catagory: 2 sep two size catagories: 5 sep three size catagories: 9 sep four size catagories: 14 sep five size catagories: 20 sep The shinigami can also change size as a swift action. it is free for them to shrink to any size (minimum base), though growing costs as normal hows that? frost part would come from ice type, of course

Not quite what I had in mind but it works. That strength bonus could get a little dodgy, though. Maybe make it 4 instead of 6?

+4 is a normal size bonus. this is a bankai ability, it should be better than a normal one.
and if we put it at 4, you'll then bitch it's not good enough and fullbringers are broken because of it. this saves me headaches

Also Bankai powers SHOULD be powerful. And don't forget you can only spend SEP equal to your level.
So at level 12 when you get it you can only increase three sizes and it kills your dex. It gives you strength but at a cost.
Level 20 is the only time it gets too super high.

so, quick rewrite for the basic bankai abilities. some of them aren't there, because they'd be much better in different types than generic (such as kido boost) TempoPrerequisites: None Activation Cost: 1 per use You and your zanpakuto learn the foe as the foe goes on, picking up their rhythm and rhyme. Whenever you make an attack against an opponent that misses, or where the damage is negated by damage reduction, you can, as a free action, gain a +1 untyped bonus to attack and damage so long as your Bankai remains active, to a maximum of +10. this bonus activates before the next attack, if used as part of an action with multiple attacks. Special: you may select this ability multiple times. Each time increases the maximum limit by 20. Activating this is a free action, and must be used individually for each attack effected Steady Offence and Defence cancel each other out mystic regenration's coolness is kinda offset by the fact that you're only going to be in combat for about 3-5 rounds, so it's not been changed much kido boost is kido. healing boost is healing ranged manouvres should be both ranged and shikai I had reasons for the others but forgotten them thoughts/feelings/death threats

I have some "specialized" idea for the Bankai's
Lightning of the Raijuu Prerequisite: Specialized Zanpakuto (Lightning) Activation Cost: 4 SEP point/round The Shinigami tap into the power burst of the Bankai to become like a lightning, striking those within his path with both steel and electricity.
Spending 4 SEP point for every round that this ability is active, the Shinigami can turn into a lightning that deal 15d6 of damage to every subject in a line, and also he can make a single attack at his highest BaB to everyone stuck by the lightning. The initial lightning damage can be halved with a Reflex save (DC 15 + 1/2 char level + Con modifier).
Rakurai Prerequisite: Specialized Zanpakuto (Lightning) Activation Cost: 4 SEP/round The Shinigami's speed now go beyond every bounds, making the best shunpo user seems like a slug.
When this ability is active the user must spend 4 SEP/round to use it. The user's speed is increased of 66 feet, whenever he moves, he appears exactly in the square where he wants to go without go through any square and for every 10 feet made, he can choose to gain +1 to AC or attack rolls.

lightning of the Raijuu: ok, I like it but it's very cheap for what you get. You're making effectivley a full number of attacks using shunpo pounce (2 each), without the upper cap, and then adding the equivelant of a 4th-6thish level spell on top of that (4th is 7 SEP, 6th is 11 SEP). I like the effect, but it's very, very cheap We want the bankai abilities to be good, but we still want peoples to pay for them, not for them to be able to rub it in everyone esles faces they have better abilities and for less than a much weaker one Rakurai: OK, I'll be honest here, there's no point putting in extra mechanics for no reason. This should boost shunpo, as shunpo is an abilitiy avaliable to every shinigami, and if you decide to trade it for something, you shouldn't have another version avaliable though, if it is merged with shunpo, the price would need to come down, since you're already paying for it with shunpo

Sorry... the costs are always been my weakness XD (even in the Bount abilities i didnt put the cost since i dont know how to balance them).
Shell of the Black Turtle Prerequisiste: Specialized Zanpakuto (Barrier) Activation Cost: X SEP/round The powered-up Reiatsu of the Shinigami manifest itself becoming thicker, with engravings like that on a turtle shell.
After the Shinigami activate this effect, he immediately gains an amount of DR/- equal to his Shinigami level and when someone miss the Shinigami with melee weapons with a margin of 5 or more, his weapon must make a Fortitude saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 Shinigami level + Con mod.) or suffer a number of damage equal to the DR (hardness still applies).
