The Bakkoto weapons developed by the Kasumioji Clan had been deemed illegal, mainly because the Bakkoto would usually kill the user. The 12th Division had learned the process of creating the Bakkoto, and decided to improve the Bakkoto in an attempt to make them legal. The newly created Bakkoto could not affect the mind of its wielders, and was unable to completely consume them as well. Once they had perfected the new Bakkoto technology, they submitted it to the Central 46 for approval. Eventually, the newly created Bakkoto were approved for use by Shinigami; however it is quite possible for Non-Shinigami to obtain a Bakkoto by stealing one, or making one themselves. Feel free to suggest changes, new unique abilities, suggest grammer fixes, etc.

Seems odd...rather useless...and kinda rather weak.
Wouldn't it work better as a PrC or even a base class? Because right now why would any class use one as opposed to their main weapon which will be stronger and better?
You have a 1d6 weapon that does nothing a shikai, fullbring, etc can't already do.
I like the feed idea and it is rather cool, but the problem is it is too weak to be useful. Especially since it is a stand alone weapon rule and not its own class.
It's also a bit unclear on how to get one? You just say "I want one" and work it out with a DM? And why would a player want one?
To me there seems little incentive to actually want these as it gives nothing special.

The Bakkoto started out as a Bleach D20 Prestige Class, but that did not make sense, because then the Bakkoto would be gaining power with you, instead at the expense of you. In addition, Bakkoto's are not confined to only one wielder, making it more difficult to use as a prestige class. I feel it is more logical for the Bakkoto to have its own class.
As for the way to get one, I am planning on making rules for crafting it. The Bakkoto Master feat will be required. Alternatively, you could loot one from somebody else.
I am planning on making it more powerful, but I am afraid of making it too powerful. Please suggest changes to make it worth the feed ability.
In addition, I am thinking of making it so that you can have the Bakkoto cover parts of your Zanpakuto, like the one used by Kibune until he died.
Current ideas: TBA 1: Instead of increasing the damage by one step, it just changes the damage of the weapon to equal that of a Zanpakuto wielded by a Warrior Shinigami of your character level.
Some sort of Bankai-esque ability: Captain Amagai's Bakkoto had something similar to a Bankai. Maybe it should only be a level 5 Bakkoto ability, and it should cost a lot of Bakkoto Points.

Not sure entirely what you could do. Find something that Shikai's don't do that people might want that makes sense and then give it that ability.
Right now I see little reason to take one when it is weaker than my classes actual weapon, it tries to eat me, and provides little benefit.
I mean, I guess it could be useful at lower levels, because it can get abilities quickly, but that is about it. I'd say at the moment its most useful ability is the shikai copy.

I got a few ideas:
Maybe offer a feat or something that lets you spend SEP for Bakkoto points for a 2:1 or 1:1 basis? It still needs to munch on your spellcasting stat (that defaults to Charisma) but it takes the edge off. I can definately see more people (incl; Humaniod Hollows, Fullbringers, Quincy, Bounts and even modsouls) going after them a lot more with that option.
Maybe another little something that lets you use some (but less than normal, say half) shikai abilities that you gain from class abilities through it. Picked differently, of course. "Tapped Poetential"...Naturally, you would still need to pay for at least level one to benifit from it.
Possibly allow a few minor Hollow/Doll/Fullbring abilities to be picked through it, simular to Shikai copy. Naturally some are inappropeite but it does increase the number of options availible.
